Floater III - 2025
The work originates in the series of floating forms, where the body was supported by water and held in balance. Seen from above, those silhouettes began to resemble a compass.
From this association emerged the transition toward the present form, which no longer floats but hangs. The horizontal surface of water shifts into a vertical plane. What once rested on reflection now moves into suspension. The translucent shape functions like a membrane or a mirrored passage, holding the trace of water while redirecting it.
Like a compass needle, it suggests alignment and adjustment, a body negotiating gravity and position. Mirroring and transition become central, marking a passage from floating to hanging, from surface to axis, from immersion to orientation.
